Research Poster Abstracts

The deadline for submission was Friday, May 1, 2020, and has now passed. The authors were notified on June 8 if their abstract was accepted. NHF will go forward with a virtual poster hall and will share more information on this closer to the conference dates.

Poster Upload Instructions

Poster Size:

Your e-Poster should be formatted in PPT (PowerPoint) and then converted into PDF as a landscape/horizontal slide that is 16:9 ratio, NOT 4:3. Presenting in 4:3 format may cause your presentation to be distorted. (There is no file size limit)

Submission Instructions:

Please submit your poster as a PDF to Nick Kallinicou at nkallinicou@hemophilia.org by July 10, 2020. Due to the shortened planning time, NHF's Virtual BDC 2020 deadline extensions will not be offered. Please mark your calendars.

Format:

  • Please make sure you include the submission ID number within the poster that you have received in your abstract notification.
  • QR codes are not permitted on posters.
  • The format of the poster is landscape/horizontal.
  • The text should be no less than 12-point font, and preferably larger.
  • Use a constant font throughout the poster. (i.e. Times New Roman, Calibri, Arial)
  • Use a black and bold type to ensure legibility and let your important points stand out.
  • Highlight your main findings. Don’t hide your conclusions, consider putting them at the top of the right column, or alternatively start with the Conclusions. Otherwise, we suggest that you structure your poster by Introduction, Methods, Results, and Conclusions. State your aims at the end of the introduction.
  • If you have figures and/or tables, they should cover approximately 50% of the poster area.

Other Recommendations:

  • If possible, avoid abbreviations and acronyms, especially in the Conclusion section.
  • Seek simplicity, keep text to a minimum, and avoid redundancies.
  • Feel free to provide one or more key references.

Deadline for Submission:

11:59 PM EST on July 10, 2020
