COVID-19 Protocol

What safety precautions have been put in place for BDC?

Please click here for our COVID-19 safety information.

Will I need to wear a mask?

All attendees, regardless of vaccination status, will be required to wear face coverings inside and in line for any indoor and/or outdoor public space; in any room or enclosed area; and outside when within six feet of others. Masks will be provided to those who do not have one.

Do I need to be vaccinated to attend in-person?

All attendees (ages 5 years or older) are required to be fully vaccinated and will be asked to show proof of vaccination when they pick up their registration badge. Fully vaccinated means 2 weeks after the second dose in a 2-dose series, or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine. NHF strongly recommends all attendees to have the booster shot as well. Those with medical or religious exemptions must notify NHF during the registration process and must show proof of a negative COVID-19 test from a medical or COVID-19 testing facility taken within 24 hours of arriving to the conference.

Do I need a COVID-19 test prior to arrival?

Those with medical or religious exemptions must notify NHF during the registration process and must show proof of a negative COVID-19 test from a medical or COVID-19 testing facility taken within 24 hours of arriving to the conference.

Exhibition

Kids Program

I have a 13-year-old. Is the Kids Program available for my child?

No, the Kids Program is for children ages 12 and under. Teens ages 13-17 can register for our Teen Track. Those registered for the Teen Track can make their own schedule and go to the sessions on their own or with their parent/caregiver.

Can I register my child for the Kids Program on-site?

No. NHF has hired a licensed, bonded Kids Program company to run these supervised programs for children ages 12 and under and needs to ensure an accurate head count so the appropriate number of staff will be available to make sure your child has fun in a safe environment. Registration for the Kids Program will close on Friday, July 29, 2022.

When does the Kids Program begin, and do I need to sign my child in and out each day?

Our Kids Program will be offered as of 1:30 PM, Thursday, August 25, 2022. A parent or guardian needs to sign in their child each morning and sign them out each evening. We encourage participants to check in their children at the Kids Program registration booth before the program begins on Thursday, August 25, 2022, to avoid delays during morning drop off. Kids Program check in will take place Thursday, August 25 from 1:30 PM - 5:15 PM, Friday, August 26 from 9:00 AM - 5:15 PM, and Saturday, August 27 from 9:00 AM - 5:15 PM (schedule subject to change). Click here for more information on our Kids Program.

Does my child need to be vaccinated to attend the Kids Program?

Yes, NHF requires your child (if within vaccination age) to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 to attend BDC and the Kids Program. For medical or religious exemption, please contact Adeli Lopez, alopez@hemophilia.org. NHF will be closely monitoring the situation, and should any changes to regulations occur, updates can be found here.
